(From the Virginia Beach City Public Schools website) Michael W. Stewart was elected to the School Board in 2000 and re-elected in 2004. He is an electronics maintenance officer at the Norfolk Naval Station with many years of diverse involvement in community service. He is a past president of the Windsor Woods Elementary School PTA and past chairman of the Technology Committee for the Virginia Beach Council of PTAs. Mr. Stewart attended Norfolk State University. He has five children, two of whom are currently enrolled in Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
