Editorial Summary
Glenn Davis has called Virginia Beach home most of his life. Glenn attended Virginia Beach Public Schools through his graduation from Green Run High School. A firm advocate and believer in free enterprise and small businesses, Glenn began a career in telecommunications in the 1990s and started his own telecommunications management firm in 2001. A year later, Glenn merged with two partners to form Comverge, Inc, recently named to the “Rising 25” of growing small businesses in Hampton Roads by both the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development. Glenn’s firm has also earned the honors of “Inc.5000” for several consecutive years. Glenn Davis cares about the community and our long term vision for success. In 1991, Glenn served as Campaign Coordinator for then-Delegate Frank Wagner in his first election bid and served as his legislative aide in Richmond. Glenn also served as legislative aide to then-Delegate Bob McDonnell. Glenn Davis is a Sorensen Fellow from the UVA political leadership program, and has been active in state and local political advocacy for years. Most recently, Glenn was accepted into the MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program Class of 2010. Glenn’s civic resume is remarkable as well. A strong advocate for success in education, Glenn volunteers as a classroom instructor in middle and high schools through Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads, where he serves on the Board of Directors. Glenn also serves on the steering committee of the Beach Fund, and the advisory board of ECPI. Glenn wants to be a voice of leadership in forging the future of Virginia Beach, increasing opportunities for all citizens to live and work and raise a family, and creating real progress and real change for the positive benefit of all.
